  • Fall semester hours are in effect August 26 through December 15, 2009, except for Labor Day and Thanksgiving break.
  • The Chemistry Library will be closed Sunday, September 6 for construction work.
  • PCL will close at midnight on Sunday, September 6 preceding the Monday, September 7 Labor Day holiday.
  • All libraries will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 7.
  • All libraries will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.
  • In most libraries the check out and reserves desks close 15 minutes before the library closes.

  1. Hours are for the PCL lobby; the Reference and Periodicals rooms; the UFCU Student Learning Commons; the Stacks, levels 3-6; and the Microforms area. The PCL is restricted to UT students, faculty and staff after 10pm. Before and during final exams, PCL will be open continuously from 9am, Saturday, November 28 through 7pm, Tuesday, December 15.
  2. When the Map Collection is unstaffed, Map Collection materials may be checked out at the Check Out (Circulation/Reserves) Desk in the PCL Lobby; ask for assistance at the Information and Research Help Desk, also in the PCL Lobby.
  3. The Architecture and Planning Library will close Friday, December 4 at 6pm.
  4. The Benson Latin American Collection will close on home football game Saturdays: September 5, 19, 26; October 10; November 7, 21.
  5. The Benson Collection Rare Books and Manuscripts Reading Room will close on home football game Saturdays: September 5, 19, 26; October 10; November 7, 21.
  6. The Chemistry Library will be closed Sunday, Sept. 6, for construction work.
  7. The Engineering Library will close Wednesday, November 25 at 5pm.
  8. The Life Science Library is restricted to UT students, faculty and staff after 10pm.
  9. The Center for American History will open at noon on Wednesday, September 2. The Center will close on home football game Saturdays: Sept. 5, 19, 26; Oct. 10; Nov. 7, 21.
