Borrow Digital Cameras, Camcorders and CD/Cassette Players
The Audio Visual Library will check out equipment to students, faculty and staff of the University of Texas at Austin.
Equipment:
- Digital Video Camcorders, Sony DSR-PDX10. Includes camcorder, case, instruction book, batteries, power adapter, remote control, AV connecting cable, USB cable, USB Driver, microphone and adapter, wide lens hood, neutral density 37mm filter, clear 37mm lens protector, white card, cleaning cloth and memory stick.
- Digital Cameras, Sony Mavica MVC-CD500. Includes camera, case, instruction book, batteries, power adapter and cord, AV connecting cable, USB cable, 8cm CD Adapter, USB Driver, VAD-S70 lens adapter ring, neutral density 52mm filter, clear 52mm lens protector and accessory case.
- Remote Control Tripod, Sony VCT-870M. Includes tripod, instructions, remote control and case.
- Two (2) Boomboxes, Sony CFD-S300. Includes CR Radio Cassette Recorder, remote control, instruction book and power cord.
- Two (2) External Hard Drives with triple interface, Lacie d2. Includes Fire Wire 800 9-to-9 pin cable, Fire Wire 6-to-6 pin cable, iLink/DV 6-to-4 pin cable, Hi-speed USB 2.0 cable, external power supply, case, CD ROM of instructions, and print instructions.
Policy:
- To place a hold on equipment, fill out a hold request slip at the Audio Visual Library. Otherwise, equipment is checked out on a first come, first served basis.
- A borrower may check out only one piece of equipment at a time.
- Borrowers must sign an agreement when checking out equipment.
- Equipment can be checked out for 3 days. Failure to return equipment on time will result in Library fines and charges.
- Equipment is barcoded. The barcode must be present when equipment is returned.
- The borrower is fully responsible for equipment checked out to him or her.
- Equipment should not be exposed to water, rain, sand, dust, termperature extremes or extended periods of direct sunlight. Cameras should never be pointed directly at the sun.
- The borrower will immediately notify Audio Visual Library staff of any loss, damage, or non-operational equipment and must report and document this at the time equipment is returned.
- If the equipment is stolen, the borrower must file a police report within 24 hours of the theft.
- Equipment must be returned 45 minutes before the Audio Visual Library closes. See the Audio Visual Library hours.
