is The University's first significant endowment devoted entirely to the support
of library services for undergraduates. Investment proceeds from the endowment,
established in the spring of 1994 with a bequest from the Hilda Barnard Estate,
support library collections and services to undergraduates, including those
with visual and hearing disabilities.
