The Lucius N. Littauer Foundation Judaica Book Fund, established by the Lucius N. Littauer Foundation of New York in 2003, funds the acquisition of library materials supporting research and teaching in Jewish and Hebrew studies. These resources will be used by University of Texas students and researchers and, through interlibrary and electronic document delivery, by researchers and the general public across the State of Texas, the nation, and worldwide.
In addition, materials purchased with the support of The Lucius N. Littauer Foundation Judaica Book Fund will assist in expanding the capabilities of reference specialists in the University of Texas Libraries at the University of Texas at Austin to respond to the complex and increasingly numerous questions relating to Jewish history, language, and culture received onsite, by telephone, and by e-mail from local, national, and international researchers.
